Description

  • Drive double-digit growth by converting complex aerospace cabling needs into signed contracts across new and legacy accounts.
  • Map decision-making chains, capture voice-of-customer insights, and develop strategic account plans.
  • Present value propositions and product offerings to senior management, purchasing teams, and engineering personnel.
  • Develop and execute a customer visit strategy and turn customer visits into sales opportunities.
  • Visit assigned customers, cold call potential customers, and follow up on qualified leads.
  • Prepare and submit pre-sales and post-sales visit reports using Action Selling principles and structure.
  • Generate and document sales forecasts for assigned customers.
  • Identify accounts at risk and take action to support customer retention.
  • Acquire competitive intelligence through sales calls and industry knowledge.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the aviation industry with established relationships.
  • Experience with cable technology and complex aircraft systems.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace and defense market dynamics.
  • Expertise in disciplined technical sales processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience; Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Formal sales and customer relationship management training.
  • Military background is a plus.
  • Ability to travel more than 70% and work from a home office near a major airport in the lower 48 states.
