Description

  • Design, build, and maintain systems that support core product areas.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to refine feature specifications.
  • Write technical design documents for new and existing systems.
  • Create and support system infrastructure for production services.
  • Write high-quality code and operate large-scale systems in production.
  • Review other engineers’ designs and code.
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineers within the team and the broader engineering organization.
  • Help build, own, and scale features end to end from scratch.
  • Process and support real-time segmentation and audience updates at high volume.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a software engineering discipline.
  • Highly skilled in at least one modern programming language.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in a cloud computing environment.
  • Experience with OLTP and OLAP databases, including schema design, normalization/denormalization trade-offs, performance, and operations.
  • Experience with high-volume data processing and storage systems.
  • Experience using Linux operating systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others on a team.
  • Ability to learn continuously and adapt in a high-growth environment.
  • BA or BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience with Python, Django, MySQL, ProxySQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, ZooKeeper, Redis, Parquet, Iceberg, and AWS.
  • Preferred ability to solve difficult problems and work through technical challenges.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $116,000 to $174,000 USD for U.S. locations.
  • Participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity as part of the total compensation package.
