Description

  • Monitor anti-abuse signals, logs, and alerts to identify likely abuse and recommend mitigations within established guardrails.
  • Investigate and respond to compliance and deliverability-impacting abuse events, including customer-impacting incident triage.
  • Generate, review, and analyze reporting on threat alerts, unwanted mail rate, time to detection, and response time.
  • Track the health of assigned signals, identify noise or failure modes, and escalate deviations from expected behavior.
  • Partner with Engineering and Security to test and implement signal tuning.
  • Follow compliance workflows reliably and surface recurring pain points, failure modes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Improve techniques, workflows, dashboards, playbooks, macros, and tools to strengthen compliance operations.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Deliverability, Security, Customer Success, Support, Sales, and external vendors to resolve issues and share updates.
  • Represent Klaviyo in the anti-abuse community through conferences, forums, and mailing lists.
  • Write clear case notes, runbook steps, dashboard annotations, and internal training or knowledge-sharing materials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical SaaS company, anti-abuse, trust & safety, or compliance operations role, preferably at an ESP or high-volume marketing communications provider.
  • Strong data analysis skills with infrastructure-level and behavioral data, including the ability to review dashboards, spot anomalies, and summarize findings into recommendations.
  • SQL or equivalent query experience is strongly preferred.
  • AI fluency and experience using approved AI tools for investigation, summarization, or drafting, with human judgment kept in the loop.
  • Experience with anti-abuse or fraud prevention tools such as Sift, Stripe Radar, eHawk, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of fraud and abuse landscapes, security protocols, and messaging compliance across email, SMS, privacy standards, and global regulations.
  • Familiarity with log analysis, signal monitoring, or SIEM-style tools such as Splunk or Datadog.
  • Familiarity with APIs, email and text message marketing platforms, and e-commerce ecosystems.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zendesk or equivalent case management tools, Salesforce, and ticketing systems.
  • Experience participating in anti-abuse industry groups such as M3AAWG is a bonus.
  • Experience with SMS/MMS technologies, technical writing, training, or web development is a bonus.
  • Python, pandas, or BI tool experience such as Looker or Tableau is a bonus.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools such as Zapier or internal scripting is a bonus.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $96,000 to $144,000 USD for US locations.
  • Eligibility for the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity and sign-on payments may be included in the total compensation package.
