Description

  • Monitor anti-abuse signals, logs, and alerts to identify likely abuse and recommend mitigations within established guardrails.
  • Investigate and respond to compliance and deliverability-impacting abuse events, including escalation and mitigation coordination.
  • Perform customer-impacting incident triage, documenting scope, urgency, timelines, and key facts.
  • Generate and review reporting on threat alerts, user log behavior, and operational metrics.
  • Monitor signal health, identify noise or failure modes, and raise issues when behavior deviates from expectations.
  • Partner with Engineering and Security to test and implement signal tuning improvements.
  • Follow standard compliance workflows and identify opportunities to improve playbooks, dashboards, macros, and other operational processes.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Deliverability, Security, Customer Success, Support, Sales, and external vendors to coordinate issues and share updates.
  • Write clear case notes, runbook steps, dashboard annotations, and internal training or guide content.
  • Represent the compliance function in cross-functional projects, incident response, and industry forums.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical SaaS company, anti-abuse, trust & safety, or compliance operations role, preferably at an ESP or high-volume marketing communications provider.
  • Comfort with infrastructure-level and behavioral data analysis, including dashboards, anomalies, and incident summaries; SQL or equivalent query experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using AI and automation tools in detection systems or operational workflows, with human judgment in the loop.
  • Proven experience with anti-abuse and fraud prevention tools such as Sift, Stripe Radar, eHawk, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of fraud and abuse landscapes, security protocols, and messaging compliance across email, SMS, privacy standards, and global regulations.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, log analysis, or SIEM-style tools such as Splunk or Datadog.
  • Familiarity with APIs, email and text message marketing platforms, and e-commerce ecosystems.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zendesk or equivalent case management tools, Salesforce, and ticketing systems.
  • Active experimentation with AI tools in work or personal projects and eagerness to learn quickly.
  • Preferred: participation in anti-abuse industry groups such as M3AAWG.
  • Preferred: experience with SMS/MMS technologies, technical writing, training, or web development.
  • Preferred: Python, pandas, or BI tools such as Looker or Tableau for deeper analysis.
  • Preferred: familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Zapier or internal scripting.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $96,000 to $144,000 USD for U.S. locations.
  • Eligibility for the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity may be included in the total compensation package.
