Description

  • Manage a portfolio of defaulted loans and implement loss mitigation strategies.
  • Review and validate documents and respond to technical foreclosure questions from borrowers.
  • Analyze workout options for delinquent loans, including foreclosure, short sale, reinstatement, and deed in lieu.
  • Develop and deliver proposals for the option that provides the best return for the investor.
  • Work closely with investors to negotiate loss mitigation strategies.
  • Set clear expectations with borrowers and other involved parties about loan status and resolution decisions.
  • Manage relationships with internal departments and business partners.
  • Track updates, analyses, and decisions in the appropriate systems.
  • Generate ideas to improve efficiency and support the implementation of new initiatives.
  • Produce periodic and ad-hoc reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of mortgage experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to guide customers and investors through the retention and/or liquidation process.
  • General knowledge of the loss mitigation process.
  • Self-starter who can independently manage a pipeline effectively.
  • Experience with workout assistance, default servicing, or foreclosure-related processes is implied by the role context.
  • Ability to explain investor guidelines for mortgage modifications in a clear manner.
  • Identity verification is required as part of the hiring process.
  • Eligible to work remotely in one of Kiavi’s approved hiring regions.

Benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary of $45,000 to $67,000 for remote work.
  • Target annual bonus of $6,000.

  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance plus group life and AD&D coverage.

  • Flexible time off with no strict limit, subject to manager approval.
  • Up to 8 weeks of paid medical or caregiver leave and 12 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave.
  • 401(k) with 100% company match up to 3% of compensation or $8,000, whichever is less, with immediate vesting.
