Description

  • Design, test, and certify Neural MT systems and fine-tuned LLM solutions for client-specific domains.
  • Fine-tune LLMs using supervised fine-tuning to match client and project style, voice, and terminology.
  • Build and maintain high-quality corpora for Retrieval-Augmented Generation and manage vector database inputs.
  • Clean, analyze, and generate data to prepare datasets for model training and tuning.
  • Audit NMT and LLM outputs to identify hallucinations, tone inconsistencies, cultural issues, and other nuanced errors.
  • Manage and optimize translation memories and termbases as foundational assets for AI training.
  • Implement and improve MTPE workflows, including AI-assisted quality estimation.
  • Analyze post-deployment results such as edit distance, time-to-market, and cost-per-word efficiency.
  • Prepare stakeholder-facing reports and recommend retraining or rebuilds when needed.
  • Support troubleshooting for engine failures, API latency, and model output issues, and document evolving AI workflows.

Requirements

  • Fluent English and native-level proficiency in one core Asian language: Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.
  • 3-4 years of experience in the localization industry as a Project Manager, Translator, Post-Editor, or QA tester.
  • Solid understanding of machine translation post-editing and experience correcting NMT or LLM outputs for fluency, accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Degree in Translation, Translation Technology, or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work with string-matching and edit metrics, including Edit Distance and MQM-DQF frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of CAT tools and CMS/TMS systems in the localization industry (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI/LLM applications, including prompt engineering, RAG corpus management, and vector spaces (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Python and Regex (preferred).
  • Resume must be submitted in English.
  • Candidates should be available for a remote role in Asia Pacific locations including Mainland China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, or Taiwan.
