Description

  • Translate video game content from English into Japanese for a variety of localization projects.
  • Work on projects for well-known gaming publishers inside and outside Japan.
  • Adjust workload and delivery to match project length and your availability.
  • Perform translation work remotely from home as a freelance contractor.
  • Collaborate with the studio’s localization workflow as assigned after application and screening.

Requirements

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency is mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge of English is required.
  • Translation certificate and/or equivalent translation experience is required.
  • Experience with translation tools or willingness to learn them is required.
  • Passion for or strong interest in video games is required.
  • Knowledge of video games is required or strongly preferred.
  • Interest in MTPE (machine translation post-editing) is required.
  • Ability to pass the entry test is required.
