Description

Design, build, and operate mission-critical networks that support Kepler’s satellite constellation and customer services.
Design, build, and operate internal corporate networks across on-premises and cloud environments.
Manage network security and segmentation in line with security best practices and company policies.
Design and maintain hybrid cloud networking architectures integrating on-prem environments with AWS services.
Develop and maintain network automation tools using Python, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code approaches.
Collaborate with software engineers, FPGA developers, and mission operations teams to support satellite operations and ground systems.
Provide operational support for corporate and service provider network infrastructure, including on-call coverage.
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability tools to detect and resolve network issues proactively.
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configuration standards, and operational runbooks.
Participate in change management, incident response, and root cause analysis for network issues.

Requirements

Strong foundation in routing and switching concepts including ISIS, MPLS, BGP, GRE, and VLAN, at a level equivalent to CCNP.
Hands-on experience deploying and supporting large WAN environments.
Hands-on experience designing and operating hybrid cloud networking, including AWS VPCs, TGW routing, VPN connectivity, and secure on-prem integration.
Hands-on experience with software-defined networking concepts, including network function virtualization, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, Python scripting, Jinja templating, Terraform, JSON/YAML, Ansible, and Git.
Basic Linux networking knowledge, including interface configuration, routing tables, firewall rules, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience implementing and managing IPsec VPNs for site-to-site and remote connectivity.
Hands-on experience implementing network monitoring and observability platforms such as SNMP, NetFlow/sFlow, or telemetry pipelines.
Hands-on experience managing network infrastructure changes using structured change management practices.
Strong systems-level thinking, troubleshooting ability, and documentation practices.
Ability to work independently and remotely while collaborating with distributed engineering teams.
Expert-level routing and switching experience at a level equivalent to CCIE is a bonus.
Advanced Linux networking expertise, including kernel networking, traffic shaping, and advanced routing, is a bonus.
Experience with network simulation or emulation platforms such as EVE-NG, GNS3, or container-based labs is a bonus.
Experience designing complex multi-site or globally distributed network architectures is a bonus.
Experience supporting small to mid-scale data center environments is a bonus.
Experience with network controllers or intent-based networking platforms is a bonus.
Experience implementing and supporting Fortinet solutions, including SD-WAN, firewall policies, and firmware upgrades, is a bonus.
Experience supporting satellite communications or space-ground network infrastructure is a bonus.
