Description

  • Design and implement complex network solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor network performance and security, then implement improvements and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance and support.
  • Stay current on emerging networking technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a network engineer.
  • Current Cisco CCNP certification preferred.
  • Palo Alto experience preferred.
  • Previous data-center networking experience is required.
  • Experience with next-generation firewalling and network security technologies is required.
  • Hands-on experience in a multi-vendor environment, including Cisco Nexus and Palo Alto devices.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Detailed security experience with ACLs, IPsec, SSL, traffic inspection, and DDoS mitigation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, MSTP, HSRP, BFD, 802.3ad, OSPF, route reflectors, confederations, FIB/RIB, distributed forwarding, AAA, layer 2 switching, and IPv6.
  • Experience with peering from on-prem networking to public cloud providers.
  • Strong scripting experience with Python, Ansible, and shell scripting.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, work as a team player, and remain flexible and customer focused.
