Description

  • Select appropriate electrical engineering simulation packages and design problems requiring their core capabilities.
  • Develop complete Python solutions, including required netlists and circuit definitions.
  • Calculate correct numerical outputs and establish engineering-appropriate tolerances.
  • Evaluate AI model performance across parallel attempts and adjust task difficulty to achieve a 10%–30% pass rate.
  • Iteratively tune circuit topologies, operating conditions, and solver parameters.
  • Analyze how AI models handle complex circuit, control, and power systems problems.
  • Submit completed tasks for senior review and incorporate reviewer feedback.

Requirements

  • Academic background in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in engineering research, applied work, or teaching.
  • Strong Python skills for developing and validating computational solutions.
  • Ability to create problems that require specialized electrical engineering simulation software.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with tools such as ngspice, scikit-rf, python-control, pandapower, or PyPSA (preferred).
  • Exposure to frontier AI model performance on complex simulation tasks (preferred).
  • Knowledge of multiple engineering domains, such as circuit analysis, control systems, or power systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with containerized or sandboxed Linux environments (preferred).
