Description

  • Lead AI/ML projects from ideation and requirements gathering through architecture, development, deployment, and optimization.
  • Make architectural and technical decisions balancing scalability, performance, reliability, maintainability, and business impact.
  • Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered features for extracting information from complex medical documents and supporting human-in-the-loop summarization.
  • Develop hybrid solutions combining statistical machine learning, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and similarity measures.
  • Write scalable Python code and optimize AI/ML systems operating in production.
  • Evaluate model outputs with data labelers and subject matter experts to improve performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, SMEs, and other stakeholders to define technical approaches and prioritize work.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on AI/ML best practices.
  • Translate emerging AI/ML research into reliable, maintainable production systems.
  • Break down ambiguous problems into technical solutions and drive delivery while considering long-term architecture.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience writing performant Python using modern best practices.
  • At least 1 year of experience building and deploying LLM-powered products in professional environments.
  • Experience leading technical projects from concept through production deployment.
  • Experience making AI/ML architecture decisions and evaluating scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability tradeoffs.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical machine learning, LLMs, RAG, embeddings-based models, vector search, and similarity measures.
  • Experience building and integrating APIs within service-oriented or microservice architectures.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret LLM outputs and model predictions against real-world business and user outcomes.
  • Expertise in prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific applications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
  • Preferred: experience with AI/ML research translation, data labeling and evaluation, production agentic systems, multimodal data, or engineering mentorship.
