Description

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for mission-critical workloads across production, staging, and development environments.
  • Define and implement infrastructure-as-code automation, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and related deployment tooling.
  • Collaborate with software, mission-ops, and DevOps teams to integrate cloud architecture into the development lifecycle.
  • Establish and manage identity, access, encryption, network security, secrets management, and compliance controls.
  • Monitor cloud service health, performance, and cost effectiveness, including logging, alerting, monitoring, and capacity planning.
  • Perform security assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability scans, and compliance audits, then drive mitigation efforts and best practices.
  • Document architectures, procedures, security policies, and infrastructure diagrams and communicate them across teams and stakeholders.
  • Track cloud security threats, emerging technologies, and compliance requirements, and proactively improve the cloud posture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, preferably across multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation, plus CI/CD, configuration management, and scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native services including VMs, containers/Kubernetes, serverless, databases, networking, and storage.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker and modern deployment workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of security best practices including IAM, encryption, network security, secrets management, monitoring, logging, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn compliance regimes such as FedRAMP, CMMC, ITAR, and government-cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Advanced cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps, Azure Administrator/DevOps/Security, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with hybrid clouds, GovCloud environments, regulated-space-industry compliance, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated workloads is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GitOps, MLOps, container-security tooling, HashiCorp Vault, ELK, Splunk, and automated incident response or forensics pipelines is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license due to ITAR-controlled access.

  • Base salary of $165,000 to $215,000 plus equity in the company.
