Description

  • Lead operating plan refreshes with engineering leaders and department heads to ensure forecasts reflect operational realities and strategic priorities.
  • Forecast key KPIs across departments, including headcount, capital expenditures, and operating expenses.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update rolling forecasts for capital expenditures, inventory, and non-recurring engineering costs.
  • Translate engineering and production resource requirements into financial models and metrics.
  • Own program, costing, and company-wide financial consolidation across customer programs, departments, and non-recurring engineering.
  • Aggregate financial data into coherent reporting packages for leadership.
  • Partner with accounting to support financial close analysis and ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Develop and enhance tools and models to track revenue performance and incurred project costs on a monthly basis.
  • Work with production and engineering teams to identify operational KPIs and analyze performance against productivity targets.
  • Partner with supply chain to track and commit financial obligations appropriately as the company scales.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support operational decision-making.
  • Deliver insight on revenue, spending variances, and department-level reporting to business partners and executive management.
  • Present analytical results to multidisciplinary audiences across the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with willingness to handle transactional tasks as well as strategic projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and explain complex financial concepts simply.
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality.
  • Experience in a startup or manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • MBA or relevant professional certification such as CPA or CFA, preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license due to ITAR requirements.
