Description

  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process across suppliers, manufacturing, and customers.
  • Source electrical hardware and expedited components including sensors, PCBs, PCBAs, harness assemblies, connectors, wire, integrated circuits, and SMD components.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms for electrical components and other sourced materials.
  • Provide design-for-manufacturability feedback for new electrical designs.
  • Manage bills of materials for electrical assemblies and consumables.
  • Lead clear-to-build coordination with engineering to meet assembly milestones and critical deadlines.
  • Develop long-term forecasting and analytics tools to support full-scale satellite production.
  • Develop and manage the supplier base from NPI through production phases.
  • Serve as the primary interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders, including onboarding, evaluation, negotiation, and project management.
  • Source high-complexity commodities and establish multiple long-term supply paths for critical electrical assemblies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or engineering in the aerospace industry.
  • 2+ years of experience procuring PCBs, PCBAs, and harness assemblies.
  • Experience managing suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Vendor management and negotiation experience.
  • Strong understanding of quality control practices such as issue tickets.
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment with engineering, production, and finance.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
  • Ability to lift and carry parts or equipment up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, electrical, aerospace, mathematics, or another relevant engineering discipline (preferred).
  • 3+ years of technical procurement experience (preferred).
  • 3+ years in a new product introduction environment (preferred).
  • Prior experience with space-grade electronics (preferred).
  • Bill of material management and planning experience (preferred).
  • Experience implementing AS9100 or completing AS9100 audits (preferred).
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings (preferred).
  • Prior leadership experience (preferred).
