Description

  • Build and scale engineering teams across Payments, KYC/Identity, Anti-Fraud, and Core Ledger.
  • Lead approximately 30 engineers and engineering leaders while defining team structures, boundaries, leadership models, and ownership areas.
  • Define domain strategy, target architecture, and execution roadmaps with Product, Finance, Compliance, Risk, and Operations.
  • Connect KYC, fraud controls, payment flows, and idempotent Core Ledger records across the user and money lifecycle.
  • Improve the speed, quality, and predictability of integrations with payment providers, KYC/AML vendors, and external partners.
  • Ensure resilience, observability, security, fallback handling, incident response, and quality standards for external integrations.
  • Balance onboarding and payment conversion with anti-fraud, AML, data protection, and transaction traceability requirements.
  • Provide reliable data and tools for reconciliation, investigations, exception handling, and reporting.
  • Establish engineering standards for architecture, quality, secure development, observability, and continuous improvement.
  • Modernize business-critical systems and develop a central, reliable Ledger architecture.
  • Define and track metrics for conversion, reliability, processing speed, fraud losses, reconciliation accuracy, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience leading a sizeable engineering organization or multiple cross-functional teams, ideally approximately 30 or more people.
  • Track record of building or significantly scaling an engineering function, domain, or complex platform.
  • Strong systems thinking across customer journeys, product flows, architecture, operations, risk controls, and financial outcomes.
  • Experience leading complex integrations and business-critical systems requiring correctness, availability, security, and auditability.
  • Strong engineering and architectural foundation, with the ability to guide technical leaders and identify systemic risks.
  • Experience improving delivery predictability, engineering quality, and technical standards across multiple teams.
  • Ability to align Product, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and external providers at a senior leadership level.
  • Fluent English and strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in payments, fintech, banking, brokerage, crypto, wallets, marketplaces, or other high-volume transactional products preferred.
  • Experience with PSP integrations, KYC/identity, AML, transaction monitoring, payment anti-fraud, reconciliation, Ledger systems, or financial migrations preferred.
