Description

  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow across channels (DTC, wholesale/three-tier, and direct-to-retail).
  • Support the annual budgeting process and run ongoing forecast updates, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying and communicating key performance drivers across sales channels, inventory, and cost structures.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to analyze promotional ROI, pricing strategies, and opportunities for margin improvement.
  • Establish, document, and maintain core FP&A processes and SOPs, including reporting cadences and ensuring accurate data flows from ERP/accounting systems.
  • Prepare executive- and board-ready financial analysis and translate complex results into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial and strategic analyses to support new product launches, market expansion, and potential M&A opportunities.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
  • Reside in the United States; based in Southern California or Austin, TX (per posting).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CPG (consumer packaged goods) environment.
  • Hands-on experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience performing variance and margin analysis across products or channels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and/or BI tools (examples: NetSuite, SAP, Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Preferred: experience building/scaling FP&A processes and reporting frameworks; ability to translate complex analysis for non-finance stakeholders; prior exposure to regulated industries (alcohol, beverage, cannabis).
