Description

  • Create and maintain foundational libraries for Kotlin core primitives used by hundreds of thousands of developers.
  • Develop deep expertise in specific domains of computer science and software engineering.
  • Serve on a design committee that shapes the Kotlin API.
  • Participate in creating standard Kotlin tools, specifications, and language features.
  • Contribute to technical decisions for Kotlin-related design and implementation work.

Requirements

  • Experience developing for the JVM, including implementation details of the Java standard library (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the domain you have been working in (preferred).
  • Ability to write design documents for complex systems with clear reasoning about trade-offs and technical decisions (preferred).
  • Experience in performance engineering or API design (preferred).
  • Experience reading and working through technical standards and documentation in depth (implied by role context).
