Description

  • Design, implement, and manage core infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, including networking, security, and identity management.
  • Build and operate resilient, highly available distributed systems using Kubernetes, Knative, Istio, and related cloud-native technologies.
  • Automate the infrastructure lifecycle with Terraform and Terragrunt to create secure, reproducible, and auditable environments.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based delivery workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Flux, and Helm.
  • Optimize and manage the multi-tenant Postgres and Neon data layer, including tenant isolation, performance, backups, and schema management.
  • Drive site reliability engineering practices, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response.
  • Solve operational challenges related to scale-to-zero behavior, cold starts, autoscaling, and queue backpressure.
  • Implement platform performance tuning across container resources, distributed locks, caching, and garbage collection settings.
  • Ensure platform security and compliance through secrets management, network segmentation, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Own major infrastructure roadmap initiatives such as multi-region deployments, disaster recovery, advanced tenancy separation, and ephemeral preview environments.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience building and operating large-scale commercial cloud-native infrastructure with DevOps/SRE practices.
  • Deep hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure and Kubernetes administration and operations; GKE experience is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform, for managing complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, networking, service mesh and CNI concepts, security, and distributed system design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, GitOps workflows such as Flux, monitoring stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana, and logging systems.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and the ability to communicate complex infrastructure topics clearly.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and promoting cloud-native operational best practices across teams.
  • Experience with Kubernetes-related cloud-native tools such as Knative and Istio is preferred.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or multi-tenant database operations is preferred.
