Description

  • Support migration of existing products to a modern updater platform and legacy system transition.
  • Drive efficient, scalable, and maintainable update and installation workflows.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams on building, packaging, and releasing new applications.
  • Provide release readiness guidance and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot build and deployment issues.
  • Ensure releases meet quality, reliability, and customer experience standards.
  • Enable smooth transitions from development to customer availability.
  • Participate in occasional on-call work to address bugs, outages, and operational issues.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven experience constructing and managing large, multi-threaded, geographically dispersed backend systems.
  • Proficiency in programming and debugging in Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
  • Proficiency with operating system internals, filesystems, databases, networks, and compilers.
  • Proven track record of defining and delivering well-scoped milestones and projects.
  • Ability to independently define the right solutions for ambiguous, open-ended problems.
  • Familiarity with semaphores and mutexes (preferred).
  • Experience with distributed systems (preferred).
  • Experience with client/server systems (preferred).
