Description

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue across the SLED market.
  • Identify, pursue, and close complex sales opportunities with state agencies, municipalities, universities, K-12 districts, and other SLED organizations.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, IT Directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Use consultative selling to understand client challenges and tailor cybersecurity and IT service management solutions.
  • Stay current on state and local regulations, compliance standards, and funding initiatives relevant to the sector.
  • Lead strategic presentations and product demonstrations to communicate solution value.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including contract negotiation, RFP/RFI responses, and deal closure.
  • Mentor junior account executives and help shape the direction of the SLED sales team.
  • Forecast pipeline and report sales activity accurately to leadership.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of proven enterprise sales experience in SLED/public sector and/or IT security/ITSM solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets.
  • Existing senior-level relationships within SLED organizations strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of SLED procurement, contracts, and budget cycles.
  • Excellent strategic selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to position complex solutions for executive audiences.
  • Knowledge of IT security and ITSM platforms, regulatory requirements such as CJIS, FERPA, HIPAA, and NIST, and related technology trends.
  • Ability to travel as needed within the assigned territory.
