Description

Lead and scale the engineering team through strategic hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
Write and ship production code regularly as a hands-on technical leader.
Work with Product Managers to define and execute the technical roadmap.
Refine engineering processes, workflows, and best practices.
Drive architectural decisions and ensure technical excellence across systems.
Partner with executive leadership to set technical vision and prioritize engineering initiatives.
Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
Own system reliability, performance, and security across the technology stack.
Report on engineering metrics, team health, and project progress to the CTO and executive team.
Foster an engineering culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years of engineering management experience.
Strong experience with Python or TypeScript.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
Passion for software engineering and mentoring/managing engineers.
Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers (nice to have).
Comfort working in a startup or fast-moving environment (nice to have).
Contributions to open source or side projects (nice to have).
