Description

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications.
  • Leverage AI coding agents to accelerate product development and defect resolution.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Build asynchronous background processing workflows using tools such as Sidekiq.
  • Develop responsive, high-performance React.js interfaces and reusable components.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries across PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
  • Improve reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability of enterprise systems.
  • Own features and complex issues end-to-end from product design through deployment and monitoring.
  • Create technical specifications aligned with short- and long-term product roadmaps and architectural goals.
  • Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and root-cause analysis for outages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience building enterprise-level applications using Python.
  • 3+ years of experience with React.js or a related modern JavaScript framework.
  • 3+ years of experience working within a 30+ person engineering team.
  • 3+ years of experience working 100% remotely and a desire to continue working remotely.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and operating applications on AWS.
  • 2+ years of experience developing with AI coding agents, including Claude Code or Codex.
  • Experience working locally with Docker.
  • Experience integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience writing raw SQL queries in a relational database.
  • Experience building asynchronous background job processes across multiple tools or frameworks.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Sentry, or New Relic.
  • Experience writing automated unit tests with more than 60% code coverage.
  • CI/CD development experience, including creating GitHub Actions workflows.
  • Experience modernizing legacy Python applications.
  • Experience working in a product-led engineering organization.
  • Experience working in a multi-team or pod-based engineering environment.
  • Experience working in high-volume transactional production environments.
  • Exceptional ability to translate product requirements documents into detailed technical specifications.
  • Availability to work US Eastern Time hours between 9am and 5pm ET.
