Description

  • Build and integrate networking, security, logging, and application orchestration systems.
  • Design identity and access management solutions with strong security and low operational overhead.
  • Create safe, reliable self-service tools for infrastructure provisioning and access requests.
  • Provision infrastructure cost-effectively and provide visibility and tooling for workload resources.
  • Own reliability and resiliency outcomes for core infrastructure.
  • Turn recurring support requests into reusable platform capabilities.
  • Develop and operate infrastructure provisioning and management workflows.
  • Mentor engineers, improve engineering practices, and collaborate across teams.
  • Coordinate regular system upgrades with minimal disruption to users.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a platform or infrastructure engineer delivering large-scale systems.
  • Experience building cloud infrastructure with a major IaaS provider; AWS strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing a content delivery or edge network such as Fastly, Cloudflare, or Amazon CloudFront.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code; Terraform strongly preferred.
  • Experience operating orchestration platforms for containerized applications and ephemeral or scheduled workloads; Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Practical experience with Python, Go, or another imperative programming language.
  • Experience with metrics, logging, and tracing infrastructure; OpenTelemetry or Grafana is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud security solutions such as web application firewalls.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business, and cross-functional audiences.
  • Experience with multi-region, multi-account, or multi-cloud environments, internal developer platforms, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI/CD, or Terraform modules is preferred.
  • Ability to self-direct work, contribute to long-term strategy, and apply product and systems thinking.
