Description

  • Establish and manage code-first infrastructure platforms with automated provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • Assess existing Azure environments, infrastructure dependencies, and modernization needs to inform target architectures.
  • Advise government clients and lead architecture and implementation decisions for infrastructure and platforms.
  • Design Azure tenant structures, including management groups, subscriptions, landing zones, networking, and resource organization.
  • Define cloud architecture standards, naming conventions, tagging strategies, and architecture decision records.
  • Design identity and access management solutions using Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access, and least-privilege models.
  • Develop secure connectivity patterns between Azure, on-premises systems, federal partners, and external integrations.
  • Define Infrastructure-as-Code standards, reusable modules, repository structures, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Produce architecture documentation, governance artifacts, operational guidance, and platform runbooks.
  • Support highly available platforms, disaster recovery planning, DevSecOps practices, monitoring, observability, and SIEM integration.

Requirements

  • Expertise with Azure Landing Zones, Management Groups, and subscription design in large-scale government or regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience with Azure Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, CI/CD automation, and GitOps.
  • Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience designing Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, and Conditional Access solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks including HIPAA, NIST, Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and ATO processes.
  • Experience with ATO processes, cloud governance, cost management, and policy guardrails preferred.
  • Experience creating ADRs, technical standards, architecture documentation, and operational runbooks.
  • Experience collaborating with government, infrastructure, security, and vendor stakeholders.
  • Experience designing highly available platforms and disaster recovery postures.
  • Experience working in agile delivery teams and leading, coaching, or mentoring engineers.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship; ability to meet applicable government contract requirements and background-check or clearance requirements.
  • Residence in one of Nava’s eligible remote-work states; the role requires work from the contiguous United States.
