Description

  • Serve as the primary overnight escalation point for infrastructure, network, cloud, backup, and platform incidents.
  • Monitor systems continuously, validate alerts, assess impact, perform triage, and resolve or escalate incidents according to procedures and SLAs.
  • Perform overnight health checks across client infrastructure, hosted services, backups, replication, automation, and critical operational services.
  • Coordinate outage response with on-call engineers, leadership, vendors, and client contacts.
  • Troubleshoot networks, Windows systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
  • Execute approved maintenance windows, patching, infrastructure changes, and validation activities.
  • Participate in major incident response and root cause analysis, including documenting timelines and corrective actions.
  • Document incidents, alerts, maintenance, escalations, communications, and comprehensive shift-turnover notes.
  • Identify recurring operational issues and recommend monitoring, automation, documentation, or process improvements.
  • Use PowerShell and other tools for diagnostics, automation, documentation, diagrams, procedures, and asset records.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of progressive infrastructure, systems, networking, cloud, or managed-services support experience.
  • Experience supporting 24x7 operations, an NOC, MSP, or alert-driven production environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, Azure, and at least one virtualization platform.
  • Experience managing incidents from alert through triage, resolution or escalation, documentation, and handoff.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions within documented authority.
  • Ability to prioritize concurrent incidents and identify when immediate escalation is necessary.
  • Clear communication skills with technical teams, on-call personnel, business users, and customers.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, maintenance plans, change records, escalation procedures, and validation checklists.
  • Experience with LogicMonitor, NinjaOne, ConnectWise PSA, IT Glue, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Backup, or Azure Site Recovery preferred.
  • PowerShell automation, production maintenance, high-impact outage troubleshooting, and VMware or Hyper-V experience preferred.
  • Relevant certifications preferred, including AZ-104, AZ-305, CCNA, VMware, or Microsoft 365 certifications.
  • Availability for Wednesday–Sunday, 8:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. Arizona time.
