Description

  • Own technical execution for a portfolio of Digital Engineering initiatives and programs.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Forward Deployed Engineers through coaching, feedback, and career guidance.
  • Lead planning, prioritization, and delivery across multiple concurrent efforts.
  • Define product scope, technical approaches, standards, and reusable engineering patterns.
  • Review designs, architectures, and implementations for quality, scalability, and platform alignment.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for complex engineering and integration challenges.
  • Translate customer needs into executable technical plans and support customer engagements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and communicate technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps in tooling, processes, and team capabilities and propose improvements.
  • Support the Director of Digital Engineering with delegated responsibilities and organizational strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, systems, mechanical, electrical, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams.
  • Understanding of software fundamentals, including APIs, data pipelines, services, and integrations.
  • Experience with engineering tool ecosystems such as MBSE, Cameo, SysML, CAD/PLM, CATIA, Teamcenter, requirements systems, and simulation tools such as FEA or CFD.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with people leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex engineered systems (preferred).
  • Exposure to model extraction, automation, and digital thread concepts (preferred).
  • Experience working in product- or platform-based environments (preferred).
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping roles, processes, and scope as the organization evolves (preferred).
