Description

  • Own the outcome of a customer program end to end, including defining success and prioritizing the problems to solve.
  • Embed with government and industry customers to understand mission needs, constraints, and organizational dynamics.
  • Build durable relationships with end users, engineers, program leaders, and executives.
  • Set direction and priorities for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team without blocking direct customer-engineer collaboration.
  • Shape growth opportunities such as option years, follow-on work, and expansions based on delivered outcomes.
  • Feed insights from the field back into product and engineering to improve the platform for future customers.
  • Work at customer sites and attend test events, hackathons, and program milestones as needed.

Requirements

  • Track record of owning outcomes without formal authority over the people delivering them.
  • Insider fluency in allied military aircraft development, including multinational teams, disconnected MBSE and PLM toolchains, and export-controlled engineering data.
  • Technical conversancy across modeling and simulation, MBSE, digital threads, software development, and/or agentic design.
  • Product sense to determine what to build next and what not to build, similar to a product management mindset.
  • Ability to brief a program executive and collaborate directly with engineers.
  • Strong instinct for reading organizational dynamics and understanding how adoption happens inside a customer organization.
  • Comfort operating with incomplete information and shifting requirements.
  • Preferred: prior experience in a forward deployed, deployment strategist, or field delivery role at a technology or defense company.
  • Preferred: track record of converting delivery into growth, such as an exercised option year, expansion, or pilot-to-program conversion.
  • Preferred: eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
