Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming afterhours calls.
  • Manage scheduling changes, gaps, and urgent requests.
  • Follow up on outstanding issues and complaints from clients, families, and staff.
  • Call out to caregivers and staff to support EVV compliance.
  • Ensure a smooth and well-documented handover between daytime and afterhours teams.
  • Use sound judgment and creative problem-solving to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic phone manner during difficult conversations.
  • Accurately document daily activity, highlights, and challenges for end-of-day reporting.
  • Follow established workflows and escalate matters appropriately.
  • Complete ad hoc coordination tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and strong English fluency, both verbal and written.
  • Patient, professional, and empathetic phone manner.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to handle difficult or sensitive conversations professionally.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinking, especially when resolving scheduling challenges.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer literacy, including MS Office and Outlook; no advanced Excel skills required.
  • Must be available to work Monday to Friday, 21:00 PM to 06:00 AM South African time, after a 4-6 week training period on 15:00 PM to 00:00 AM.
  • Must have a fixed fibre internet line with at least 25 Mbps upload/download and wired Ethernet support.
  • Must have a reliable power backup solution to handle load shedding and outages.
