Description

  • Maintain, extend, and improve existing data and ML workflows.
  • Implement new pipelines to handle high-velocity data.
  • Provide interfaces and systems that enable ML engineers and researchers to build datasets on demand.
  • Influence data storage and processing strategies.
  • Collaborate with ML, frontend, and backend teams to build the data platform.
  • Reduce time-to-deployment for dashboards and ML models.
  • Establish best practices and develop software that helps ML engineers and researchers build and use datasets efficiently.
  • Work with large datasets under strict performance constraints.
  • Iterate quickly and ship new products and features to millions of users.
  • Make independent decisions on data processing strategy and architecture.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data role involving data stores, feature engineering, and reliable high-load data pipelines.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience outside of data engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with Kafka infrastructure and distributed data systems.
  • Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably ClickHouse.
  • Familiarity with public cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, containerization, and microservice design.
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions regarding data processing strategy and architecture.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Preferred: Experience collaborating across ML, backend, and frontend teams.
  • Preferred: Understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including model training and inference.
  • Preferred: Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
