Description

  • Lead implementation of PCI DSS controls across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Design secure AWS architectures with VPC segmentation, IAM boundaries, and least privilege access.
  • Implement encryption standards for data at rest and in transit.
  • Set up and manage security tooling such as WAF, GuardDuty, logging, and monitoring.
  • Work directly with auditors and internal stakeholders on security and compliance efforts.
  • Own AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as SST, CDK, Pulumi, or Terraform.
  • Improve deployment reliability, environment consistency, and CI/CD pipeline security.
  • Implement secrets management and secure configuration practices.
  • Architect systems for high-volume financial transactions with strong reliability, fault tolerance, and observability.
  • Act as the internal Security Champion and mentor engineers on secure coding and infrastructure practices.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Backend Infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
  • Proven experience implementing or working with PCI DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CDK, Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of IAM and least privilege access.
  • Deep understanding of network security, including VPCs, subnets, and isolation.
  • Deep understanding of encryption and secrets management.
  • Experience building or maintaining secure, scalable systems.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or other high-compliance environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript environments is preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response systems is preferred.
  • Tech environment includes TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and CI/CD pipelines.
