Description

  • Manage one or more large-scale land acquisition campaigns from site due diligence through closing.
  • Lead complex negotiations for leases, purchases, easements, and surface waivers with landowners, corporate entities, and legal counsel.
  • Manage and support third-party land agents and brokers to deliver campaign objectives.
  • Maintain site control trackers and provide regular internal reporting on land acquisition status.
  • Initiate and manage mineral ownership reports and surface waiver agreement campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners and community groups to support community engagement.
  • Assist in preparing and updating land acquisition budgets and project financial models.
  • Work across multiple technologies and jurisdictions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Land Management, Business, Environmental Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of real estate development or acquisition experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience closing transactions in the renewable energy industry.
  • Experience with GIS applications, Google Earth, Google Suite, and Slack.
  • Strong familiarity with land and environmental policy, mineral interests, and standard land acquisition terms across multiple markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence counter-parties to adhere to strict schedules.
  • Ability to pivot based on scope changes, process updates, or environmental constraints.
  • 25-50% travel availability for site visits and in-person stakeholder meetings.

  • $182,000 to $195,000 total compensation, including base salary and bonus.
