Description

  • Define civil and structural design criteria aligned with project goals, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide civil engineering direction and oversight for data center-adjacent power facilities.
  • Support project development from concept to completion by identifying and mitigating design, budget, and schedule risks.
  • Translate commercial, permitting, and site constraints into engineering guidance and decision-ready documentation.
  • Optimize civil site layouts for land use, constructability, cost, schedule, and permitting efficiency.
  • Manage technical diligence including hydrology, geotechnical, transportation, boundary, and topographic work.
  • Coordinate crossing locations and encroachment issues with utilities, landowners, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead engineering consultants and general contractors through constraint mapping, design reviews, and value engineering.
  • Ensure civil and structural designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Support permitting, construction approvals, procurement, and civil/structural contract exhibit development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of technical civil/structural design experience.
  • 2+ years leading multidisciplinary design processes for utility-scale power projects.
  • Strong knowledge of design development, construction methods, relevant codes and standards, and safety fundamentals.
  • Ability to balance design, production, cost, schedule, and land-use tradeoffs.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with Procore and MS Project, or similar project tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with internal teams, EPCs, consultants, AHJs, and landowners.
  • Growth mindset, curiosity, and willingness to mentor peers and improve playbooks and standards.
  • Hands-on experience with grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and SWPPP preparation (preferred).
  • Experience taking projects from early site diligence through construction (preferred).

  • Total compensation of USD $188,000 to $200,000, including base salary plus bonus.
