Description

  • Lead and develop a team of data engineers and AI specialists.
  • Coordinate delivery of data and AI projects, ensuring quality, deadlines, and business alignment.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of data delivered to business areas.
  • Support the production deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions.
  • Establish engineering best practices, including documentation, versioning, and pipeline monitoring.
  • Work with stakeholders across different functions to translate business needs into efficient technical solutions.
  • Participate actively in recruitment and selection processes to grow the team.
  • Report results, risks, and opportunities to management to support the area’s strategic direction.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with strategic prioritization.
  • Conduct agile rituals and maintain the technical backlog.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, including Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Warehouse.
  • Experience with data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and tools such as Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data services.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and deploying machine learning models to production.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data cataloging.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading technical teams with direct people management.
  • Experience running agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban) and managing a technical backlog.
  • Ability to deliver structured feedback, PDIs, and performance reviews.
  • Ability to develop talent and build high-performance teams.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strategic prioritization.
  • Postgraduate degree or MBA in data, technology, or management fields preferred.
  • Experience in technology companies or in organizations with a well-established data-driven culture preferred.
