Description

  • Work with databases to clean, maintain, extract, import, and export data across multiple formats.
  • Perform complex statistical analyses of Medicare Fee-For-Service Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) claims data.
  • Create reports on trends, significant changes, and other relevant factors identified in the analysis.
  • Compile, verify, and interpret data to support departmental efforts and client deliverables.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data mining and statistical analyses using SAS, MS Access, and Excel.
  • Produce summaries, result tables, and summary statistics from analyzed data.
  • Refine database queries to generate subsets of databases and tables for analysis.
  • Prepare clear reports, memos, data files, and project presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Communicate analytical procedures and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support internal quality reviews, audits, and client inquiries by validating results and answering data-related questions.
  • Participate in team projects and brainstorming sessions to evaluate study design methodologies.
  • Stay informed about industry changes, best practices, and applicable regulations, and assess their impact on projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, or another related field.
  • 2 years of SAS programming experience required.
  • 2 years of experience with statistical practices preferred.
  • 2 years of relational database experience preferred.
  • At least 3 years of data analysis experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of Medicare claims data, CMS policies, and DMEPOS program requirements preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of analytic, mathematical, and statistical methods.
  • Relevant computer programming skills.
  • Proficiency with Python, Databricks, SAS, SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Business Objects, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Must pass post-hire background screening checks.
  • Must have wired and/or wireless internet access for remote work.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance if required by the client or contract.
