Description

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for fraud, identity, and appeasements.
  • Define targets and track outcomes for fraud losses, cost per order, false positives, and customer experience.
  • Lead the evolution of real-time fraud detection and identity verification capabilities across marketplace and Storefront Pro.
  • Shape an AI-native fraud prevention strategy and identify opportunities to apply AI/ML across the domain.
  • Define appeasements and order-issue resolution policies, guardrails, and product capabilities that balance fairness and abuse prevention.
  • Partner with Data Science, ML Engineering, and Fraud Operations to define PRDs and improve detection and decisioning models.
  • Collaborate with Platform, Payments, Order Management, Shopper, Legal, CX, and Finance to embed fraud controls across the commerce stack.
  • Produce clear product reviews and strategic narratives that communicate trade-offs and drive alignment with leadership.
  • Stay ahead of emerging fraud patterns, including organized fraud-as-a-service, AI-generated abuse, and new attack vectors.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in fraud, trust & safety, risk, identity, or a related high-stakes platform domain.
  • Proven ability to independently define product vision, strategy, and a multi-year roadmap.
  • Track record of improving measurable fraud or risk outcomes such as fraud losses, approval rates, false positives, or cost per order.
  • Experience working with ML and data science teams on fraud detection models, risk scoring, or decisioning platforms.
  • Comfort using SQL, analytics tools, and A/B testing to size opportunities and measure impact.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience working with engineering, operations, data science, finance, legal, and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred experience applying AI/ML innovations to fraud, identity, or trust and safety, including GenAI/LLM products, AI-native detection, graph neural networks, or multimodal analysis.
  • Preferred experience building products for multi-sided marketplaces or enterprise/white-label platforms.
  • Preferred experience influencing operational teams such as Fraud Ops, Trust & Safety Ops, or Risk Operations without direct authority.

  • Base salary range of $194,000 to $204,500 CAD for Canadian candidates.
