Description

  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality dimensional and semantic data models in dbt for marketing analytics.
  • Partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Marketing stakeholders to translate business questions into data requirements and trusted data assets.
  • Own metric definitions, business logic standardization, testing, and documentation across marketing reporting.
  • Set analytics engineering standards for code review, testing frameworks, modeling patterns, and maintainability.
  • Improve existing data models to reduce complexity, improve query performance, and expand analyst self-service.
  • Develop scalable analytics engineering patterns, including dimensional models, semantic layers, testing frameworks, and monitoring approaches.
  • Build and maintain curated datasets that support ML- and AI-driven marketing applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering or a closely related role with ownership of production-grade analytical data models.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and deep experience with dimensional modeling, including star schemas, fact/dimension tables, and slowly changing dimensions (SCDs).
  • Strong proficiency with dbt, including project structure, testing, documentation, and macros.
  • Experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse.
  • Solid understanding of marketing data and metrics, including paid media performance, attribution, and channel-level measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to set standards, guide execution, and mentor others on analytics engineering best practices.
  • Excellent judgment and product thinking with the ability to balance speed, correctness, and long-term maintainability.
  • Preferred: experience building or contributing to a metrics or semantic layer.
  • Preferred: familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Hex, and optimizing models for analyst consumption.
  • Preferred: experience working with Data Scientists on experimentation, attribution, or incrementality measurement.
  • Preferred: familiarity with marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, Google Analytics, and SEO tooling.
  • Preferred: Python experience for automation or advanced transformations.
  • Preferred: experience introducing analytics engineering best practices in an organization that previously lacked them.

  • Highly market-competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Base salary range of $191,000-$201,500 USD in CA, NY, CT, and NJ; $183,000-$193,000 USD in WA; $175,000-$184,500 USD in several listed states; and $159,000-$168,000 USD in all other states.
  • Eligible for a new hire equity grant.
  • Eligible for annual refresh equity grants.
