Description

Partner with regional and field operations leaders to align people strategies with business goals and growth plans.
Translate business needs into workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and leadership development solutions.
Use data and insights to identify trends and risks related to engagement, retention, performance, and talent gaps.
Serve as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, investigations, and terminations.
Coach field leaders on people management practices, difficult conversations, and risk mitigation.
Oversee and conduct internal investigations and ensure fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes with documentation.
Partner with Talent and Operations teams on hiring, onboarding, retention, engagement, and culture initiatives.
Lead or support employee engagement surveys, analysis, action planning, and leader enablement.
Advise leaders on compensation decisions, job leveling, promotions, and performance-based rewards.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions and support broader People Team initiatives.

Requirements

8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience supporting field-based, multi-unit, retail, restaurant, or hospitality teams.
Minimum of eight years of direct human resource management experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
Strong employee relations expertise and experience handling complex, high-stakes situations.
Strong business acumen and a data-informed approach to problem-solving.
Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly California.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS system.
Ability to travel up to 50%; experience supporting multi-state and high-growth organizations is preferred.
