Description

  • Define and elevate the role of motion across key product experiences through elegant transitions, micro-interactions, and motion systems.
  • Create initial motion concepts, high-fidelity mockups, and exploratory design directions for ambiguous product problems.
  • Design intuitive mobile interfaces for core and AI-powered features while preserving the simplicity of the product experience.
  • Support the Head of Design on larger initiatives and gradually take ownership of product improvements within the core experience.
  • Create interactive prototypes on a weekly cadence to pitch new features and experiments with product leads.
  • Translate prototypes into polished, spec-ready designs aligned with the design system and ready for engineering implementation.
  • Produce detailed motion documentation and interaction logic so developers can implement designs accurately.
  • Design variants and iterate rapidly as part of a continuous testing and experimentation culture.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Design, Senior PMs, engineers, and the CEO to refine ideas and deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Respond quickly and precisely to feedback while collaborating in a fast-moving, evolving design process.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing consumer mobile apps.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong craft, measurable user impact, and compelling mobile case studies.
  • Exceptional motion design skills, including transitions, micro-interactions, and purposeful use of motion.
  • Strong UI/UX fundamentals, including visual design and information architecture.
  • Ability to make complex features feel simple and accessible.
  • Comfort working across the full design process from research and concepting through engineering handoff.
  • Ability to thrive amid shifting priorities and a fast-moving product team.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working alongside PMs, engineers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Excitement about AI design and prototyping tools.
  • Portfolio should include several high-quality consumer mobile app and web case studies showing product thinking and motion.
