Description

  • Analyze and interpret healthcare utilization and financial data to answer questions about population health, outcomes, quality, and product design.
  • Work with clients to identify historical and future cohort populations, calculate utilization and costs, and estimate financial results under different models.
  • Provide insights to clients for new opportunity assessment.
  • Use SAS, SQL, and Tableau to design reporting platforms for healthcare deliverables.
  • Track and resolve report issues, including logic defects, data quality problems, and process errors.
  • Build predictive models to segment patients.
  • Support analytical research projects using statistics and modeling methods.
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of data science professionals and actuaries to build platforms and financial models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in statistics, social science, public health, mathematics, economics, or epidemiology preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of healthcare industry experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of programming experience in SAS and SQL required.
  • Experience using statistical methods to evaluate healthcare claims data strongly preferred.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare databases and coding systems such as ICD, CPT, and HCPCS.
  • Experience or knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid data preferred.
  • Experience with the VRDC database preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, multitasking, documentation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form to a diverse audience; strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
