Description

  • Design and configure SAP IS-U processes for EDM and Device Management in a greenfield SAP Cloud for Utilities environment.
  • Lead customizing and configuration for interval data capture, profile management, settlement, forecasting, and device lifecycle processes.
  • Develop cloud-native utilities processes aligned to SAP Cloud for Utilities architecture.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, product owners, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Conduct client workshops, gather requirements, and translate them into functional designs.
  • Support end-to-end Meter-to-Cash process flows with a focus on data accuracy and automation.
  • Evaluate user stories, participate in backlog grooming, and support sprint delivery.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Billing, Market Communication, ABAP, and Integration.
  • Ensure compliance with energy market regulations and smart metering standards.
  • Provide guidance during testing, cutover, and hypercare phases while mentoring junior consultants.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of SAP consulting experience, including 5+ years in IS-U EDM and Device Management.
  • Proven SAP IS-U customizing experience for utilities clients, including DSO or supplier environments.
  • Strong understanding of MaCo Cloud, MPM, and IDEX for market communication.
  • Experience with MSCONS, SAP IS-U data model, ABAP customizing, and sandbox development.
  • Familiarity with smart metering protocols and device integration standards.
  • Experience with SAP Cloud for Utilities or S/4HANA Utilities, with greenfield experience preferred.
  • Experience with migrations, including mapping and transformation.
  • Ability to debug and collaborate effectively with ABAP developers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English at C2 proficiency.
  • Stakeholder management, problem-solving, resilience, and project-related mobility/willingness to travel.
  • SAP certification in IS-U or S/4HANA Utilities is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP BTP, Fiori, and cloud integration tools is preferred.
  • Exposure to German regulatory frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience leading workstreams or managing functional teams is preferred.
