Description

  • Own the practice strategy, growth plan, operating rhythm, and financial performance.
  • Set and manage revenue, bookings, margin, utilization, pipeline, and forecasting targets.
  • Develop scalable consulting methodologies, tools, and repeatable advisory offerings.
  • Identify, develop, and close consulting opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Lead executive-level discovery, solution development, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Scope, price, and structure engagements, including deliverables, staffing, timelines, commercial terms, and project economics.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior hospital and health system executives and represent the practice in industry forums and publications.
  • Provide executive oversight for complex client engagements, ensuring timely, high-quality, financially sound delivery.
  • Lead, staff, coach, and develop a multi-level consulting team, including hiring, performance management, succession planning, and retention.
  • Guide clients and teams on healthcare operations, digital transformation, innovation, and emerging AI-related advisory needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive consulting, advisory, or professional services experience serving hospitals and health systems.
  • Experience leading a consulting practice, service line, or significant portfolio of client engagements.
  • Proven record of selling consulting services and achieving revenue or bookings goals.
  • Hands-on experience scoping, pricing, negotiating, and contracting consulting engagements.
  • Experience managing consulting economics, including revenue, margin, utilization, staffing, and project performance.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing, multi-level consulting teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with C-suite and senior health system leaders.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare delivery, hospital operations, digital transformation, and the health system ecosystem.
  • Strong executive communication, critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MHA, MPH, or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience advising on AI governance, responsible AI adoption, AI operating models, and organizational implications of AI is highly valued.
  • Willingness to travel based on client and business needs.
