Description

  • Own and evolve the Microsoft Fabric architecture, including medallion architecture, data pipelines, and mirrored and non-mirrored databases.
  • Bring expert-level knowledge of Power BI development, data modeling, and reporting standards.
  • Design AI-ready data architecture, including semantic layers and medallion structure, to support future AI use cases.
  • Partner with DBA, DevOps, and application teams to design scalable, production-ready data solutions.
  • Interpret database logs, identify performance issues, and support high-availability, 24/7 production environments.
  • Support API integrations for data access and exchange across systems.
  • Design and maintain observability practices across semantic models, pipelines, warehouses, and SQL endpoints.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, patterns, and standards as the data platform matures.
  • Contribute to the broader data and AI platform strategy.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience in data solution design, including schema design, system integration, and scalability planning.
  • Hands-on Microsoft Fabric and/or Power BI expertise.
  • Experience designing AI-ready data architectures, including semantic layers and medallion structures.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data pipeline design and optimization.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server performance monitoring concepts.
  • Experience with medallion architecture and cloud data warehousing patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Fabric Data pipelines or similar pipeline/orchestration tools.
  • Experience with API-based data integration.
  • Solid understanding of the Azure ecosystem and data-related services, including App Services, VMs, Blob Storage, Log Analytics, and networking basics.
  • Experience with Python, Fabric notebooks/Spark, or MLflow/model registry concepts.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell and/or Azure DevOps dashboards/pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Power BI Embedded, RAG, vector/embeddings, AI agents, or responsible AI/governance principles (preferred).
  • Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting, or health-related analytics (preferred).
