Description

  • Design, build, maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot paginated RDL reports across Power BI Report Server, Power BI Service, Power BI Embedded, and legacy Crystal Reports.
  • Manage end-to-end integration between embedded reports and the application, including authentication, parameter passing, REST API token handling, and boundary troubleshooting.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures for reporting, extraction, and application workloads.
  • Support Python-based data pipeline and analytics tooling, including operationalizing forecasting and classification outputs as data science capabilities expand.
  • Automate report generation, scheduling, and delivery through templating and scripting.
  • Build monitoring for reporting data and queries, including quality checks, anomaly detection, and service-level monitoring.
  • Improve report and query performance through instrumentation and benchmarking.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL and relational database expertise, including independently writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.
  • Experience building Power BI Paginated Reports using RDL.
  • Experience with Power BI Report Server, Power BI Service, and Power BI Embedded.
  • Hands-on experience embedding reports in client-facing applications, including authentication, REST API-driven token handling, and application integration.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting solutions in production environments.
  • Ability to stay current with the Fabric and Power BI ecosystem, including Microsoft paginated report rendering APIs.
  • Python experience for data pipelines and analytics tooling (preferred).
  • Experience with healthcare or other high-volume, sensitive, regulated data such as HL7 (preferred).
  • Experience with Azure analytics services, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, platform modernization, or reporting migrations (preferred).
