Description

  • Work through the end-to-end UX design and UX research process for a startup idea of your choice.
  • Lead product scoping, feature scoping, and overall project management for the apprenticeship project.
  • Identify the target market and position the product for launch success.
  • Develop a business model for the product or service and show how it can scale.
  • Conduct discovery research by managing user recruitment, creating research plans, writing interview guides, and leading 8-16 interviews.
  • Synthesize interview insights and use both qualitative and quantitative data to justify the problem and solution.
  • Create personas, stakeholder maps, journey maps, process maps, service blueprints, ideation matrices, sketches, wireframes, UX workflows, prototypes, and other visual deliverables.
  • Lead user testing of wireframes and prototypes and iterate to improve usability.
  • Design a unique design system from scratch, including components, a style guide, and branding.
  • Consult with startups to define scope and deliver UX research, UX design, product design, or service design work.

Requirements

  • Open to new graduates and UX career changers.
  • Interested in UX research, UX design, product design, or service design.
  • Willing to commit 5-10 hours of work per week.
  • Willing to attend 2-3 hour weekend lectures or complete online video modules.
  • Open to feedback from UX mentors and willing to revise design work.
  • Able to apply with a resume; no UX resume or portfolio is required.
  • Willing to go through a brief interview process if selected.
  • Applicants are reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • AI tools may be used to support parts of the hiring process, including application review and resume analysis.
