Description

  • Complete an end-to-end UX design and UX research project for a startup idea of your choice.
  • Lead product scoping and feature scoping for the chosen project.
  • Manage the overall project workflow and deliver program milestones within the apprenticeship timeline.
  • Conduct discovery research, including user recruitment, research planning, interview guide creation, and 8-16 interviews.
  • Synthesize research findings and use qualitative and quantitative data to support the problem space and solution.
  • Create UX deliverables such as personas, stakeholder maps, journey maps, process maps, service blueprints, sketches, wireframes, workflows, prototypes, and ideation matrices.
  • Lead usability testing of wireframes and prototypes and iterate based on findings.
  • Design a basic design system, including components, style guide, and branding, for the solution.
  • Analyze direct and indirect competitors and communicate the solution’s differentiators.
  • Develop and present a UX design and business pitch for the startup idea.
  • Consult with startups on a defined scope of work for UX research, UX design, product design, or service design.

Requirements

  • Open to new graduates and UX career changers.
  • Interested in career paths in UX research, UX design, product design, or service design.
  • Able to commit 5-10 hours per week to program deliverables.
  • Able to attend 2-3 hour weekend lectures or complete online video course modules.
  • Open to feedback from UX mentors and willing to revise design work.
  • Able to apply without a UX resume or portfolio.
  • Available to join a 7-month apprenticeship program.
  • Open to a remote program that accepts applicants from anywhere in the world.
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
