Description

  • Build and maintain campaigns, products, upsells, custom fields, and post-purchase logic in Checkout Champ.
  • Troubleshoot decline flows, broken upsells, and launch-time funnel issues under pressure.
  • Manage Shopify storefront operations across multiple brands, including catalog updates, theme edits in Liquid, subscription setup, and app integrations.
  • Ship template-level storefront fixes without escalation to a developer.
  • Manage merchant processing operations, including MID administration, descriptor optimization, chargeback response packaging, processor communication, and gateway routing changes.
  • Deploy and verify tracking infrastructure, including pixel installation, Meta CAPI server-side events, GTM and dataLayer configuration, Voluum routing, and postback validation.
  • Investigate tracking discrepancies from scratch and verify end-to-end data flow.
  • Serve as the second responder for production issues across the technical operations stack.
  • Document fixes and workflows clearly so teammates can repeat the same process independently.
  • Take ownership of larger portions of the technical operations stack over time and reduce dependency on the Technical Operations Director.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on Checkout Champ experience at the operator level.
  • 2+ years operating Shopify stores in a DTC or subscription environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Liquid and Shopify template editing.
  • Working knowledge of card-not-present merchant processing, including MIDs, descriptors, chargebacks, reserves, and gateway routing.
  • Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for deploying tracking scripts and debugging pixel fires.
  • Strong written communication and clear documentation habits.
  • Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and handle ambiguity methodically.
  • Builder mindset with a willingness to improve broken processes instead of working around them.
  • Coachable, honest about knowledge gaps, and able to learn quickly from an existing technical stack owner.
  • Preferred experience with Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, custom GPTs, or agents; Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, React, or Vercel; Outbrain, Taboola, Revcontent, Tubular, or Voluum; Meta and Google ads infrastructure; SQL or Postgres; health and wellness compliance; and personal automation projects.
