Description

  • Own SEO strategy across an assigned portfolio of ecommerce clients.
  • Build prioritized roadmaps that align technical SEO, content, authority building, UX, and conversion optimization with business goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities across product, category, collection, editorial, buying guide, and comparison pages.
  • Conduct SEO audits covering technical SEO, crawlability, indexation, structured data, Core Web Vitals, rendering, duplicate content, canonicalization, pagination, faceted navigation, redirects, and site migrations.
  • Analyze performance using GA4, Google Search Console, ecommerce platform data, crawling tools, rank tracking software, and other SEO platforms.
  • Investigate changes in rankings, traffic, conversions, revenue, and visibility to determine root causes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommendations and validate completed work.
  • Translate technical findings into clear development tickets with priorities, requirements, and expected business impact.
  • Lead client strategy meetings, performance reviews, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Help develop and improve GEO and AEO methodologies, reporting, measurement systems, and internal SEO initiatives.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience leading SEO strategy for ecommerce websites.
  • Strong experience with Shopify or Shopify Plus and BigCommerce; experience with Magento, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce, or headless commerce platforms is an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical SEO for large ecommerce websites and product catalogs.
  • Strong experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, Looker Studio, and similar tools.
  • Excellent understanding of keyword research, search intent, information architecture, internal linking, on-page optimization, and ecommerce content strategy.
  • Proven ability to connect SEO performance with conversions, transactions, average order value, and revenue.
  • Experience diagnosing SEO performance changes while accounting for paid campaigns, promotions, merchandising, seasonality, and tracking issues.
  • Strong experience turning SEO audits into prioritized implementation roadmaps and actionable development requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of GEO, AEO, AI search platforms, or AI-powered discovery tools is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with structured data, product feeds, entity optimization, and AI visibility measurement is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript, APIs, log-file analysis, or advanced data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Must be available during office hours Monday to Friday, 3–6 PM BCN time.
  • Must consistently work 30–35 hours per week, or about 140 hours per month.
  • Must have a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop suitable for virtual meetings.

  • First two months paid at full rate as a trial-and-adaptation period.
  • Regular performance reviews every 9–12 months, with the first review after 3–6 months.
  • Role and workload re-evaluated after 6–12 months.
