Description

  • Manage a high-functioning cybersecurity research team in an environment of trust, respect, and inclusion.
  • Work with Product leadership, the Security Operations Center, Engineering, and others to develop the threat operations roadmap.
  • Provide technical and managerial leadership to direct reports across security research and development disciplines.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and operational gaps proactively and bring solutions to leadership.
  • Ensure team members understand Huntress’ mission and how their work supports broader company goals.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage performance to support researcher development.
  • Set expectations for responsible AI use across the team and model AI fluency in daily work.
  • Build repeatable workflows that improve research quality, speed, and business outcomes.
  • Use AI to redesign and scale research workflows while establishing quality, risk, and impact measurement standards.

Requirements

  • Experience leading cybersecurity teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, including at least one area of security research and development.
  • Experience managing, hiring, and growing a capable cybersecurity team.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, take action, and be accountable for outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate highly technical concepts clearly within a specialty.
  • Motivation to work as a technologist with responsibility for cybersecurity.
  • Experience using AI personally and scaling its use across a team through workflow design, coaching, and measurement.
  • Familiarity with product management, incident response, host-based threat hunting, malware analysis, configuration management, and antivirus technologies is preferred.
  • Experience specializing in one or more security disciplines such as offensive security, vulnerability management, security operations, data science, or threat intelligence is preferred.
