Description

  • Shape the technical roadmap across CPQ, Billing, and Payments.
  • Define and evolve core domain models for pricing, products, contracts, invoices, and payments.
  • Design API and platform contracts for developers, partners, and AI agents.
  • Create frameworks that keep the platform extensible without adding complexity.
  • Write code regularly and build high-impact systems end to end.
  • Lead design reviews and take prototypes to production at scale.
  • Own large multi-team initiatives spanning CPQ, Billing, and Payments.
  • Set architectural patterns for extensibility, correctness, consistency, and safe AI interaction with commerce objects.
  • Partner with product leadership on strategy and tradeoffs across CPQ, Buyer Portal, and Revenue OS.
  • Mentor senior engineers and tech leads while guiding learnings from incidents and migrations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems with strict correctness requirements.
  • Strong API and platform design experience.
  • Experience building systems that external teams depend on.
  • Background with complex state machines, financial flows, or high-integrity data models.
  • Familiarity with agentic systems and safe AI interaction with structured data.
  • Ability to work horizontally across many teams and drive alignment on platform patterns.
  • Ability to turn ambiguity into clear plans and working software while staying hands-on.
  • Experience with CPQ, Billing, Payments, or similar commerce platform domains (preferred).

Benefits

  • Annual cash compensation range of $266,200 to $425,900 USD.
  • Cash compensation may include base salary, on-target commission, and annual bonus targets for eligible roles.
  • Some roles are eligible for equity through restricted stock units (RSUs).
  • Some roles may be eligible for overtime pay.
  • Flexible work options with remote or office-based arrangements.
  • Required in-person onboarding for Engineering roles at a regional HubSpot office.
  • Additional in-person team events for Product roles.
