Description

  • Develop, execute, and monitor personal lines product strategy for assigned states.
  • Drive profitable growth in personal auto and residential property policies.
  • Contribute to the P&C rate plan and product enhancement schedule.
  • Perform financial, market, and industry analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Influence IT, Research, Pricing, Claims, and Regulatory teams to implement product and pricing enhancements.
  • Partner with Marketing and Field Sales to develop strategies that support profitable growth.
  • Develop marketing and P&C strategies to address growth opportunities and profitability issues.
  • Maintain relationships with state regulatory departments and secure approval for rate and product changes.
  • Define underwriting appetite and work with P&C Underwriting to establish and enforce underwriting guidelines.
  • Provide business leadership for regulatory changes, business errors, and other unforeseen issues.
  • Communicate with agents, field leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders on state and P&C strategies and initiatives.
  • Leverage AI and other tools to support statewide strategy development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • CPCU or another insurance designation preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in P&C product management, product development, underwriting, and/or risk management.
  • Experience with a national or super-regional carrier preferred.
  • Direct or indirect leadership experience required.
  • Experience operating in a matrix environment required.
  • Ability to work irregular hours as needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Experience using AI or similar tools to support strategy development is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $117,500 to $173,300.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience, location, and other factors.
  • Remote access available.
  • Opportunity to work in a purpose-driven company focused on educators.
  • Travel expectations are limited to up to 25%.
